Felicitation Ceremony Honouring Dr. Swati Charudatta Joglekar On Her Superannuation

30 May 2026 : A felicitation ceremony was held at the Fergusson College Amphitheatre to honor Dr. Swati Charudatta Joglekar, Vice Principal of Fergusson College and Secretary of the Governing Body of Deccan Education Society, on her retirement upon superannuation on 30 May 2026.

The event began with a traditional welcome featuring flowers, attar, and shehnai music, creating a serene and graceful atmosphere.

Distinguished dignitaries present included Adv. Ashokrao Palande (Vice chairman, Deccan Education Society), Prof. Anand Katikar (Secretary, Deccan Education Society), Prof. Dr. Shyam Mude (Principal, Fergusson College), Vice Principals, Shri. Chetan Ankalkote (Registrar & Prabhadhak FC), former Principals Prof. Dr. Vasant Wagh and Prof. Dr. Ravindra Singh Pardeshi, faculty, staff, family members, and well-wishers.

The ceremony, compered by Dr. Sanket Tembe and Mrs. Sayali Darvekar, began with Saraswati Poojan and Lamp Lighting. Mr. Chetan Ankalkote delivered the introductory address, reflecting on Smt. Joglekar’s significant contributions.

Several dignitaries, colleagues, former Principals, family, and friends shared fond memories and highlighted her dedication and leadership. An audiovisual presentation showcased key moments from her career and personal life.

Smt. Joglekar, along with her husband Smt. Charudatta Joglekar and daughter Smt. Suchitra Joglekar, were honored with shawls, bouquets, mementos, and commemorative gifts.In her heartfelt speech, Smt. Joglekar expressed gratitude and reflected on her fulfilling association with Fergusson College and Deccan Education Society, inspiring all present.

The event concluded with a fellowship lunch at the Wadia Library, where attendees celebrated and extended best wishes for Mrs. Joglekar’s new chapter.This ceremony was a fitting tribute to Smt.
